[D4 - Why do i feel so alone]

I know that you were using a file from a friend, so likely you were just expanding on this for fun. However, I feel like giving you some feedback anyway :P

I really liked the intro, and the two synth melodies were good. However, you just kept repeating the second one over and over. That'd maybe work for your chorus, but I was really hoping to hear some more melodies. When the pitch shifted at about 1:45, it didn't quite sound right either. Instead, it may have worked better to switch to a new melody line.

The flow also didn't really seem there for me. And, I sometimes was wishing for more to the song. The kicks didn't really seem powerful enough to justify just having them as your main beat. Then the end, the melody just faded in and out without much purpose, leading to a ending that didn't quite feel resolved...

So yeah, that's what I have for you as suggestions. There are some cool things in this song, but it's easier to offer up constructive criticism. If you could check out some of my songs sometime, that'd be great too :D

Ooh, something like me...Sort of

So anyway, I've started making some music. After a few songs, I've thought to myself that I don't know anybody in the portal that has a sound close to this, since I don't browse it a lot. Then somebody recommended you and I decided to check you out. What do you know, your stuff is really good :D So, I think I'm going to start following your stuff, even if you don't post a whole lote here.

I like the flow of this song, and though I don't generally like static noise, it works well here. Have a lot going on, but it works together.

A song and a half

Yeah, I kind of agree that the darker part doesn't mesh well with the first part. I really like the first part, it kind of feels pretty laidback and happy. But the dark part just sounds like it should be a dfferent song. The piano was nice as always, though it might have been nice to have a second melody line to switch it up a bit (Though, I do think that your dark middle was partially for that). The orchestral parts work really well here, just so you know.

Tried to give as much useful feedback as possible :< I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff though. CHeck out my new song 'Sapphire Nights" please? :D

I think I might do this tonight =D I really like this song. It progresses really nicely. Also, I'm making music now, so watch out for my stuff. I'll have something worthwhile eventually :P I think I've sent you a couple PMs too, not sure if you got them, though they are kind of old.

No expert, but...

Well, this song is pretty cool, and I know that this is just a demo, so I know that you'll work with it more. However, make sure that the end progresses to something more instead of just dropping off; the atmosphere really seems like it's going to lead to something intense. Also, make sure to increase the diversity when you increase the length. You have some cool stuff, but nothing ruins it more than repetition. Also, see if you can find a riff or two more for the main melody to spice it up a bit =3

I like the beginning, but the title made me think that the piece was going to be scary, so you might want to increase the song of that ghost noise in the background, or maybe find some cool sound effects =3 (Though not sure what you're aiming for in the competition) Also, I know drum and bass is supposed to be rather minimalistic, but I feel like some other sort of sound needs to have a part, though not quite sure which.

I think that when the snare (is that right terminology?) comes in it could have a little stronger beat.

Yeah I actually have an end to this, but I had to cut it off cause for the MAC contest it has to be 60 seconds or less. With the ending, it would be nearly twice as long.

I'll definately put more diversity into this, it is VERY repetitive right now, it needs a lot of work but hey, thats my job, right?
